Navan 6k Online Entry

Online Entry for the race will be open until midnight on Thursday 9th May at the below link. We will also be taking entries at Claremont Stadium on the night. The race starts at 8pm and not 7.30 as advertised in some places.

Rita Brady Recognised for Contribution to Athletics

Navan AC treasurer Rita Brady was presented with a certificate from the IAAF by way of recognition of her contribution to the sport of athletics at Club, County, Provincial and National Levels. She received her certificate from Athletics Ireland President Ciarán Ó Catháin at the Athletics Ireland AGM in the CityWest Hotel on Saturday 27th April.

Record Breaker Eva

Navan Athletic Club Athlete Eva O Donovan continued her spectular rise to prominence in Athletics on a National scale when she set a new National record of 2.19 77 in the girls under 15  -800 Metres at the AAI Juvenile  All Ireland Indoor Championships which were held in Athlone over the weekend. While winning medals at National level is nothing new to this very talented Navan Athlete this is her first time to break a National record an achievement her family and Coaches at the local club can be extremely proud of and reward for the many hours of dedicated training she has put in over the Winter months.

Navan Success In Dunboyne

Ciara Rooney was the first junior female past the post in the Dunboyne 4 Mile Road Race on Sunday with a great time of 26:03 in cold and windy conditions. Marie Reilly was also in the prizes as she was first in the O55 category in 30:34. Not to be outdone Mary Watters picked up 3rd place in the O45 category in 27:37.

Other Navan AC members in action were Barry Watters (25:30), Colin Finn (28:14), Alan Reilly (28:24), Gabriel Sheeran (30:32), Amanda Sheeran (34:42), Rosario Murray (37:42) and Fiona Finn (39:56). Well done to all. The next race in the Meath Road Race League is the Fr Murphy 5 Mile Race in Kildalkey next Sunday 31st March at 12noon.
